Dong-Chin Lim graduated from Seoul National University majoring law and admitted to Korean bar by passing the 8th Bar Examination of Korea (1967). He served as judge and further studied international law, international private law and the civil litigation at Freiburg University in Germany. After serving as judge at Civil Court of Seoul District, he established Lim, Chung & Suh in 1980. As an attorney at law, he practiced corporate and business laws, international trade and transactions, maritime, insurance, and patent laws by providing legal advice and representing clients in litigations. He acted as representative partner from 2002 to 2007 of Lim, Chung and Suh and voluntarily retired from active duty as representative partner transferring the role and opportunities to other younger partners. Currently, he is acting and practicing law as an advising counsel of Lim, Chung & Suh.
